Series: Alternative Radio - David Barsamian
Barsamian

David Barsamian and the Alternative Radio program he founded in 1986 are long time collaborators and supporters of Deep Dish TV. Over the years Deep Dish TV has filmed numerous interviews that David has conducted with leading thinkers and activists. The interviews cover a broad range of topics. In this collection we are highlighting interviews dealing with South Asia.

Alternative Radio is a weekly one-hour public affairs program offered free to all public radio stations in the US, Canada, Europe and beyond. AR provides information, analyses and views that are frequently ignored or distorted in other media. Our program is carried by over 175 radio stations and heard by millions of listeners. Our headquarters are located in Boulder, Colorado. AR consists of David, Joe and Gavin and a few volunteers working in a 400 sq ft office in Boulder where we do all our production and order fulfillment. David, in addition to his other duties, sends out the mail himself and he always tries to include a personal thank you.

Send Video

Providing venues for grassroots, independent producers and videographers is central to the Deep Dish TV mission. The series and programs that we distribute via satellite and cable TV stations and on the Internet are collaged from the work of media makers from all over the world. We invite you to participate in our current series by contributing your short video or footage to one or more of the programs. The terms and how to submit videos are explained on each of our current project pages. We invite you to join our network of hundreds of videographers, producers and artists.
