Desmond Travers - Testimony at the Russell Tribunal on Palestine 2014

  • Desmond Travers (born 1941) is a retired Irish Army colonel. During his years with the army he served with various United Nations and European Union peacekeeping forces. Since his retirement from the army in 2001, he has taught military affairs at the Institute for International Criminal Investigations in The Hague. He also served on the institutes board of directors. In 2014 he was refused entry into Gaza by Israel. He testified at the Special Session of the Russell Tribunal on the weapons used by Israel against the people of Gaza in their seven week attack that began on July 8, 2014.
