Commemorating the 50th anniversary of Freedom Summer, PBS new documentary "Freedom Summer" is a gripping journey into the 1964 awe-inspiring movement for racial justice. when more than 700 student volunteers from around the country joined organizers and local African Americans in a historic effort to shatter the foundations of white supremacy in Mississippi.

Providing venues for grassroots, independent producers and videographers is central to the Deep Dish TV mission.
